Our 1969 Alfa Romeo 1750 Berlina is a remarkable example of the Italian automaker’s renowned engineering and design. Powered by the legendary Alfa Romeo Twin Cam engine, this car offers an engaging and analog driving experience that any true petrolhead would cherish. The 1,779 cc DOHC inline-4 engine, fed by twin Dellorto 40 DHLA carburetors, delivers 116 HP and sings a melody that only a Twin Cam can produce. The 5-speed manual transmission adds to the thrill, making every shift a pleasure as it sends power to the rear wheel.

Finished in its original Moss Green (Verde Muschio) with an elegant pigskin leather (Cuoio Cinghiale) interior, this first-series Berlina exudes timeless Italian style. In exceptional condition, this Alfa Romeo retains much of its original paint and shows no signs of rust or previous metal repairs. The undercarriage, trunk floors, and body panels are solid, and the chrome accents and iconic grille remain in excellent shape, reflecting the car’s careful preservation. When we had the chance to offer this vehicle for sale for a second time, we couldn’t pass it up.

The car’s documented history adds to its allure. Sold new in La Spezia, Italy, in 1969 for 1,885,000 Italian Liras (around $25,000 today), this Berlina has a clear ownership lineage, with records from Alfa Romeo Centro Documentazione verifying its original colors and specifications. The Alfa also comes with the original Italian registration card and a rare supplementary sheet, which includes details about the car’s first owner, a woman born in La Spezia in 1920, and its change of ownership in 1973 to a family member. The supplementary sheet was canceled in 2006 but remains as a collectible document.

The 14” steel wheels, fitted with 185/70R14 Continental ContiEco Contact tires, complement the Berlina’s dynamic handling and contribute to its classic appearance. Whether it’s the unmatched driving pleasure of the Twin Cam engine or the pristine condition of this well-preserved survivor, this Alfa Romeo 1750 Berlina is sure to captivate any collector or enthusiast who appreciates a true Italian masterpiece.

The mileage posted may be lower than the actual mileage, because here at Car Cave, we believe that vehicles are better when driven. Interested in learning more? Come visit us in our climate-controlled showroom to take a test drive, or give us a call at (803) 262 4742.
