Overview

Land Cruiser capability with Lexus comfort. This 2013 Lexus LX 570 combines the substantial construction and four-wheel-drive hardware of Toyota’s 200 Series platform with a quieter, more richly appointed cabin. For those of us who appreciate Toyota trucks, the appeal is straightforward: a naturally aspirated V8, a proper transfer case, body-on-frame construction, and enough room to bring the family along.

Finished in Black Onyx (paint code 202) over a Parchment leather interior, this LX wears the updated styling introduced for 2013. The spindle grille, revised lighting, and factory 20-inch alloy wheels give it a distinctly Lexus appearance, complemented by running boards, roof rails, and chrome exterior accents. Inside, the light upholstery contrasts with the dark dashboard and mahogany wood trim, including the wood-and-leather steering wheel and matching shift knob.

Under the hood is a 5.7-liter V8 producing 383 horsepower and 403 lb-ft of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. The broad torque delivery suits a vehicle built to carry passengers, luggage, and equipment comfortably. Full-time four-wheel drive incorporates a Torsen locking center differential and a two-speed transfer case with low range. This is substantial off-road hardware beneath the leather and wood.

The LX also features Active Height Control and Adaptive Variable Suspension, allowing adjustable ride height and selectable suspension settings. Crawl Control, Multi-terrain Select, and Turn Assist provide additional assistance when the pavement ends. Independent front suspension and a solid rear axle balance road comfort with the durability and articulation expected from this platform.

The three-row cabin accommodates eight, with power-adjustable front seats, four-zone automatic climate control, factory navigation, a reversing camera, and a power-retractable third row. The split tailgate provides convenient cargo access, with a lower section that doubles as a useful place to sit while changing boots or unloading gear. It is a practical layout for road trips, daily family use, and weekends outdoors.

History and Maintenance

The supplied CARFAX documents two previous owners, both in Georgia, and 38 service history records. Much of its maintenance was performed at Nalley Lexus Smyrna, with later servicing at Beaver Toyota Cumming and other Georgia facilities. The history includes repeated scheduled services and regular oil changes, providing a substantial record of care beyond the vehicle’s appearance.

Notable documented work includes differential fluid and brake fluid changes during the 90,000-mile service in June 2020. In January 2021, the front brake pads and rotors, serpentine belt, belt tensioner, and tensioner pulley were replaced. A coolant change followed in April 2021. The August 2022 entry records the 120,000-mile service, including spark plug replacement, brake fluid replacement, oil and filter service, and ride-height system repair or adjustment. Beaver Toyota replaced the radiator and changed the coolant in January 2023. Subsequent entries include oil changes, inspections, tire rotations, and Georgia emissions testing.

CARFAX reports minor damage to the front on September 10, 2018. No airbag deployment or total loss is reported, and the report shows no salvage, rebuilt, flood, or other listed title brands.

At Car Cave, our enthusiasm for Toyota four-wheel drives extends well beyond the older Land Cruisers. The LX 570 offers the same underlying appeal in a more comfortable package: substantial engineering, useful capability, and a cabin that makes long-distance travel easy. This example’s Georgia ownership history, extensive service documentation, and classic black-over-Parchment combination make it a compelling choice for someone who intends to use and enjoy their Lexus.
